I Te Timatanga is a rhythmical hand action game, one of many mahi a ringa.
It encourages hand eye coordination, memory, kotahitanga (unity) and whānaungatanga and is a whole lot of fun as you can see.
Like most tākaro it can also be used to showcase all aspects of the whare tapa whā model of health. Like all tākaro Māori it has the additional bonus of connecting people to Te Ao Māori in a fun, safe way.
I TE TIMATANGA
